Originally founded in 1989 by schoolmates Patrick Creamer and Clinton Roche, Serpentine Sky made an immediate impact on audiences and Music Media with their shredding guitars, pumping rhythms and big melodic hooks.

In the early nineties, the band was tipped as ‘the next big thing’ by Ian ‘Molly’ Meldrum and showered with major record label deals.

As fate would have it, everything came to an abrupt end in 1991. Drummer Craig Whitelock suffered a serious motorbike accident resulting in him being unable to perform for the best part of twelve months. The band tried to carry on with another drummer, but relationships became strained and the magic was lost.

Serpentine disbanded and Patrick Creamer moved to Queensland where he raised his family and formed a new band called Future Native. Future Native released three records and toured Europe and the USA. The group also performed at the famed Glastonbury festival in the UK, SXSW in Austin Texas and Canadian Music Week in Toronto Canada where they enjoyed high rotation with the single Superman.

Guitarist Zak Zedras joined Melbourne band Dragonfly that included Geisha vocalist Chris Doheny and Kids In The Kitchen bassist Craig Harnath. Dragonfly had a Top 10 hit with the track River Of Love in 1994. Guitarist Rexx Fernandez toured with many Aussie acts including Christine Anu, James Reyne, MarkSeymour and Joe Camilleri. Rexx also works in music production and is part of the music production team for the X Factor TV series.

Bassist Clinton Roche began working in the film industry and Drummer Craig Whitelock toured with Bigger Than Jesus and Nick Barker & The Reptiles when he recovered from his motorbike accident.

After performing at the tribute show for dearly departed friend and former drummer of White Widdow, George Kristy in March 2014, Serpentine members rekindled their friendship. A decision was made to re-form the band and record an album of their best original tracks. The band ran a very successful crowd funding campaign with Pozible and recorded a full-length album with producer / engineer Ricki Rae. Upon learning that Serpentine had reformed, Third Verse label boss Rick Butterworth contacted and subsequently signed the band.

The first single released from these sessions Groovy Feelin’, shows that the band has lost none of it’s magic. Groovy Feelin’ is a highly melodic commercial Rock track that is a welcome return from one of the countries hottest live bands.

The band changed their name to Serpentine Sky in 2015.

The result is this masterpiece before you.

The band is planning a new album that should be ready early 2024.
