Stefan (whose resumé also includes Black Sabbath legend Tony Martin). ”Wall Of Pain” is a catchy heavy metal anthem with plenty of double bassdrums. ”Until The Dawn” is slower, a semi-ballad – a little something for the ladies. ”Day” is somewhat poppy – more of a major chord-vibe. At the same time, this is a more technical album.

In the summer of 2017 Captain BLACK BEARD entered the studio to write a new chapter in the bands history. Robert Majd and Christian Ek along with new lead singer Liv Hansson as well as producer Jona Tee (keyboardist in H.E.A.T) pretty much reinvented the band’s sound.
The album that was recorded and released in 2018 is called ‘Struck By Lightning’ and features a fresh dose of high energy melodic rock.

Born and raised in Denmark, Michael Jessen picked up the guitar by the age of 15, and a childhood friend taught him how to play the main riff for AC/DC’s “Hells Bells”. For 2014’s debut ‘Memories’, Michael teamed with one of his vocal heroes Goran Edman, who is back in the frontman role for all vocals on the new ‘Bulletproof’ released in 2019.

Subtitled "40 Years of 'Hooks Hysteria!," 'Don't You Believe What You've Seen Or You've Heard' is a super-deluxe 3CD set that looks back at the year 1975, when Skyhooks were the biggest thing to hit Australia since the Beatles a decade earlier!

'Don't You Believe What You've Seen Or You've Heard' includes Skyhooks' first two albums 'Living In The '70s' (released in October 74, but it spent much of the first half of '75 atop the charts) and 'Ego Is Not A Dirty word' (released mid- '75) – each remastered (by Greg Macainsh and David Briggs) from original tapes and augmented by original b-sides and a good number of unreleased demos.

The third disc is something we're calling 'Skyhooks In Concert -1974-75;' it features 14 previously unreleased live tracks from such legendary Skyhooks concerts as the Sydney Opera house in '74 and the State Theatre in Sydney and Festival Hall in Melbourne in '75.

In addition to the 44 tracks, the set features a deluxe 8-panel digipak, a classy o-card, and a 36 page booklet with numerous never-before seen images and an insightful new essay from former RAM magazine editor and Skyhooks confidant Anthony O'Grady.
